Phil Heath talks with 97.9 The Box in Houston about the NPC and the Phillip Heath Classic. This is The contest third year and has over 750 athletes (without crossovers) competing. The growth of the NPC in Texas has exponential. Texas Chairman Lee Thompson gives credit to this growth to our President Jim Manion for his leadership and vision of creating new opportunities for athletes from all walks of life including the new body-sculpting division bikini and men’s and women’s physique. Another crucial piece of the success is the development of the NPC’s FREE Stage Ready Workshops which provide information on competing in the NPC. Texas and surrounding states have embraced the seminars and the proof of their success has translated to new competitors on all NPC stages.
