2013 Australia Pro Grand Prix Final Results

Dexter Jackson, Candice Keene and India Paulino all won their respective divisions at the Australia Pro Grand Prix on Saturday.

The win was the record-breaking fourth Australia Pro Grand Prix title for Jackson, who entered tied with Chris Cormier for the most wins in contest history. Jackson won his fourth Arnold Classic one week ago, tying him with Flex Wheeler for the most wins in that contest’s history. Jackson’s previous wins in Australia came in 2004, 2007 and 2008.

Toney Freeman finished second, turning the tables on Ben Pakulski (3rd) from one week ago. Last week Pakulski outmuscled Freeman in placing second at the Arnold Classic. It was Freeman’s highest finish in his three Australia Pro appearances, as the X-Man placed 4th in 2008 and 3rd in 2009.

In Figure, Keene knocked off two-time and defending champion Erin Stern. Keene got the best of Stern at the Figure International a week ago for the first time in her career. Candice Lewis (4th), Mallory Haldeman (5th) and Australia’s Rinnah Schmid rounded out the top five.

Bikini’s current Big Three of Paulino, Nathalia Melo and Nicole Nagrani finished 1-2-3 a week ago, with the three placings separated by a mere six points in Columbus – including a two point-difference between Paulino and Melo in first and second. Paulino’s win was slightly more convincing here, as she finished six points ahead of runner-up Nagrani on the judges scorecards for her third straight win dating back to last year’s Pro World Bikini Championships, and the sixth of her career. Only two points separated Nagrani in Melo in second and third.
